Ear Relief Device is drug-free and non-surgical treatment for glue ear or Otitis Media with Effusion. It also equalises pressure in the middle ear for use during a flight.
An ear pressure relief device is a medical device that is often used to help relieve discomfort from ear pressure imbalances or ear problems. These devices are designed to equalize the pressure in the ear, especially in situations where there are significant changes in air pressure, such as flying, activities at high altitudes, or diving. Under normal circumstances, the human ear is connected to the larynx through the Eustachian tube. The function of this channel is to regulate the air pressure inside and outside the ear cavity, so that the eardrum can naturally vibrate, so that we can hear normally. However, when the air pressure changes drastically, such as when climbing or landing in an airplane, hiking at high altitudes, or diving. The eustachian tubes may become blocked or the pressure may be unbalanced, resulting in discomfort in the ear, such as ear pain, ear plugging, hearing loss, etc. The working principle of the ear decompression device is to increase or decrease the air pressure inside the ear cavity by blowing or swallowing, so as to balance with the external air pressure. Some ear pressure relief devices may be simple blower balloons or bladders that the user blows to adjust the air pressure.
